Automatic emails
Automatic emails are messages VOW sends on its own in response to an event, without anyone composing them in the email composer. Whether each one is sent depends on your organisation's settings and the event that triggers it.
Assignment notifications
Assignment notifications tell a user they have been put on a job or a quote. A notification is sent when someone is newly assigned, either as the record is created or when the assignment later changes to them. Saving a record without changing who is assigned does not resend it.

Assignment notifications are controlled by the System emails settings in Settings | System. Each notification has its own toggle, so job and quote notifications can be enabled independently. See Settings | System for those toggles.
Assignment notifications use VOW's own email delivery and do not require email integration to be configured for your organisation.
Request confirmations
A request confirmation is sent to a client when they submit a work request through your organisation's requests integration. It acknowledges that the request has been received.
The confirmation uses the email template chosen in Settings | Requests, with the request's own details filled into the template fields. It is sent only for requests submitted externally through the requests integration, when a confirmation template has been set and the submitted request includes an email address. A request created manually inside VOW by a signed-in user does not trigger a confirmation. When no template is set, no confirmation is sent. See Settings | Requests for the template setting.
Account emails
Account emails relate to your VOW account rather than to a record such as a valuation, project, quote or request. They are sent by the platform and cannot be configured by your organisation.
